About Us

The Three Horseshoes has sat as the hub of Brimpton - a small village of just over 200 inhabitants - for around 200 years.

Before becoming an Arkells pub in 2001, it was a 'Free house' (see previous inn keepers below). The current landlady and chef Michelle has run the pub since 2010, and it was previously run by her parents so has been in the family for just over 14 years.

Notorious

The final word about our history is left to a local paper that printed a story about some rather undesirable characters from the nearby town of Newbury.
